THS IB students had a diploma pass rate that was higher than the state average and passed 96 exams with a score of 4 or higher. Temple IB students outperformed the state and national averages on points earned and average exam score while also outperforming the world average in History. Temple HS also presented IB Certificates to another 25 students who passed at least one IB exam. Those 25 students are a mix of recent graduates and rising seniors.

Students in Temple High School’s Advanced Placement courses passed 120 exams with a score of 3 or higher for a total of 360 college credit hours earned. The program recognized Parker Madsen and David Petrarca as AP Scholars with Honors for posting a score of 3 or higher on four AP exams and honored Eileen Franzen, Nathan Ray, Daviannie Tirado-Alejandro and Jaysa Vahue as AP Scholars for scoring 3 or higher on three AP exams. Temple High School has a steep and storied tradition of advanced academics - whether IB or AP programming - that prepares our students for a range of post-secondary options,” said Dr. Bobby Ott, superintendent of Temple schools. “Our parents, students and teachers have worked together to outperform state and national averages as well as pass cost savings to families via earning a significant number of college hours before graduating high school.”

Temple HS 2023 Salutatorian Kathryn Jie was also honored as the student earning the most college hours. Jie earned 27 hours of college credit through the advanced academics programs.
