Three Temple High School wrestlers have qualified for the University Interscholastic League (UIL) State Wrestling Tournament on February 16-17. Joel Aguilar will be competing in the state competition for the second straight year after becoming the first Wildcat wrestler to medal in the state tournament with a fifth-place finish in the 2023 tournament. Aguilar will compete in the boys 138-pound class after winning the regional meet in that weight class. On the girls’ side, Marissa Ruiz will compete in the 152-pound class after posting a fourth-place finish in the regional meet. Rebecca Terry is an alternate in the 107-pound class after posting a fifth-place finish at regionals.
