They didn’t arrive in red suits, but rather their traditional blue jackets. Still, Temple High School FFA students took a turn playing Santa Claus this week.
The students dropped off two boxes full of books and toys to the McLane Children’s Scott and White Hospital in Temple.
The idea first came about as the students discussed opportunities to give back this holiday season.
They decided on the book and toy drive, because they knew it would have an immediate impact on children in the hospital this Christmas.
So, last week, these students put out the call throughout Temple ISD, and people generously gave.
Now, these toys and books are in the good hands of the McLane Children’s Hospital staff, who will ensure they help make this holiday season in the hospital for area children, a little brighter.
