Temple ISD Students Sweep Peace Poster Contest

The artwork of Temple ISD students was on display this week as the Temple Founder Lions Club announced the winners of their Peace Poster contest.
 
Three students from Lamar Middle School and a student from Raye-Allen Elementary School took all four spots announced by the club:
 

1st Place: Laila Payne, Lamar Middle School      

2nd Place: Tishawna Wright, Lamar Middle School           

3rd Place:  Manajh Peoples, Raye-Allen Elementary School         

Honorable Mention: Camilo Sanchez, Lamar Middle School

Family members of the winning students, along Lamar Principal Billy Madden, Lamar ACE Site Coordinator Shirmira Brandiburg, Lamar Communities in Schools Coordinator Catherine Smith and Raye-Allen Art Teacher Darlina Lingo were also in attendance to congratulate and support the students.

The students received a monetary prize, a medal and a certificate for winning.

Additionally, PaperGraphics made large posters of the artwork that will adorn the Temple Founder Lions Club float in the City of Temple Christmas Parade on Monday, December 5, with the winning students riding on the float.
