It's only the third week of August and school isn't in session, but tonight's Temple ISD Board of Trustees meeting was jam packed.
District 7 Trustee Jennifer Davis announced her resignation from the board because she is moving out of the district. She will remain in that seat until the board appoints a new trustee. Read her touching resignation letter by clicking HERE.

A large crowd from Kennedy-Powell Elementary School came to support Dr. Kelly Madden as the board welcomed her as the new principal. They also approved John Woodward as the new assistant principal. Both are longtime staff members at KP.
The board approved the new TempleHSBand semi-trailer. Thank you Kody Shed (former Wildcat Drum Major!), your company InHouse Systems, Inc. and McLane Company, Inc. for this amazing donation!

Finally, Temple High School students will have the chance to visit Spain, France and Italy next June after the board approved this amazing trip!
