Coach Stewart discussed family, fatherhood, faith and a little football (very little). He talked about how he loves his players, and tells them often, and while he obviously enjoys winning, his goal it to instruct his players on how to be good men, good husbands, good fathers and good citizens.
Wildcat Football leaders Tony Hernandez, Dalvin Fillmore and Xavier Johnson also spoke about the positive impact Coach Stewart and his coaching staff have on their lives, and how the team is about more than wins, including the importance of lifting each other up, and mentoring younger students.
These three student athletes stand out not just because of their exceptional play on the field, but for the strong character and leadership they exhibit around their team, school and community.
Great Temple ISD students in our great school district!
