District Educational Improvement Committee

The District Education Improvement Committee (DEIC) serves as an advisory group for the planning, operation, supervision, and evaluation of the district’s educational program. The district-level committee involves teachers, administrators, parents, and community members in establishing and reviewing the district’s educational plans, goals, performance objectives, and major classroom instructional programs. The DEIC also addresses pertinent federal planning requirements, provides comments on district level waivers that are submitted to the board of trustees for approval prior to consideration by the commissioner and approves the district’s professional development plan.
