Biography
Dr. Rogers was born in Fort Polk, Louisiana. As a child, her father was in the Army, and as a result, Dr. Rogers grew up living in Illinois, Texas, Louisiana, and Germany. In 2002, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Spanish and International Studies from Louisiana State University, and in 2003, she earned her Master of Public Administration degree from LSU. Dr. Rogers began her teaching career in 2004 in Vero Beach, Florida, where she taught Spanish for three years. In 2007, she returned to Texas and taught Spanish at Ellison High School in Killeen for six years. After earning her Masters degree in Educational Administration in 2013, Dr. Rogers became an assistant principal at Temple High School, later serving as Associate Principal.
In 2018, she was named the Executive Director of Secondary Education for Temple ISD, a position she held for six years. In 2023, Dr. Rogers earned her doctorate from Houston Christian University. In July 2024, she was promoted to Chief Academic Officer, where she now monitors and supports teaching and learning across the district’s Pre-K through 12th-grade campuses. She also supervises special programs departments, including special education, bilingual education, digital learning, and career and technical education (CTE).
Dr. Rogers is passionate about education and firmly believes that all students deserve high-quality learning experiences that open doors to opportunities and post-secondary success. She is dedicated to serving and empowering teachers and campus leaders by providing the resources and professional development necessary to meet their needs. Her goal is to ensure that their success directly translates to equipping students to thrive academically and beyond.
