Twenty students in the construction trades program at Temple High School will tour and judge some of this year’s Parade of Homes entries on April 23. The opportunity comes through the ongoing partnership between the Temple Area Builders Association and the THS career and technical education program.

The Temple Independent School District will open online enrollment for eligible pre-K and kindergarten students for the 2021-2022 school year beginning May 3 and running through the end of the month.

The Temple Independent School district debuted the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at Temple High School in 1992. Almost 30 years later, it is still going strong and is fed by a Primary Years Programme and Middle Years Programme, that were added at Scott Elementary and Travis Science Academy respectively.

After consultation with the Bell County Health District, Temple ISD will begin the 2021-2022 school year providing in-person learning as the sole option for students and families.

The Temple High School theatre program has advanced to regional contest in an abbreviated University Scholastic League one-act play competition. The company is performing scenes from Student Body, by Frank Winters, and has placed first in the district and bi-district contests thus far.

The Temple Independent School District’s has been preliminarily selected to be awarded the Texas Education Agency’s Principal Residency Grant.

Stephen “Skeebo” Reichert is a proud 1985 graduate of Temple High School who is also a Lamar Middle School Bearcat alum.  Skeebo is a success story of someone who battled dyslexia while in school, but he learned how to use his talents in visual arts to open his own photography and film business.

The Temple Independent School District’s health services department will vaccinate more than 450 employees in response to the federal government’s announcement of school employees being prioritized for vaccination.
