Each year, the Temple Independent School District recognizes the exceptional staff and students whose hard work and commitment help keep the district’s student athletes in competition.

Temple ISD will have a district-wide Remote Learning Day on Monday, February 22, 2021 in order to address facility concerns caused by freezing conditions and power outages.

The Temple Independent School District joins the education community across the country in celebrating our school counselors during National School Counseling Week Feb. 1-5. These specialized educators play a critical role in any campus team and are recognized annually in the first week of February.

Every January the Temple Independent School District celebrates the dedication and service of its school board members as a part of School Board Recognition Month. Read this press release to hear from some of our board members about their service.

Students at Jefferson Elementary School got to take home a book Thursday from a donation of 755 books by the Scripps Howard Foundation as a part of the foundation’s “If you give a child a book…” campaign to promote childhood literacy.

Due to the ongoing severe weather, Temple ISD will be closed through February 18, 2021.

Due to the latest notification from TEA allowing districts to apply for a waiver in lieu of power outages, Temple ISD will close schools to staff and students on February 16 and 17. There will be no in-person or remote learning those days. We will communicate details regarding Thursday when we receive better information.

Temple ISD will be closed on Friday, February 12, 2021, due to severe weather. Monday, February 15, 2021 will continue as a previously scheduled Student Holiday and Remote Workday for staff.

These weather cancellations will mean that Temple ISD will discontinue Early Out Wednesdays moving forward in order to meet state required minimum number of minutes. Starting Wednesday, February 17, 2021, Wednesdays will be full instructional days.

• Middle Schools @ 12:00 pm
• High School @ 12:30 pm
• Elementary @ 1:00 pm
• PreK @ 1:15 pm
